Using your new skills to get out there!
Circo Kernow offers you training to give you Circus skills and then through the “Winged Feet” programme to help you to develop as a performer through occasional gigs, which hopefully (for the best and most committed of you) will lead to a professional career at festivals, and corporate events.
How does it work?
STEP 1. Get experience of shows/workshops walkabout shows or performance projects whilst you are a trainee with Circo Kernow.
We will pay your expenses, where possible
STEP 2. Once you have a minimum of 10 shows / workshops / walkabout shows or performance projects signed off by Circo Kernow Staff you will progress to the next stage, which is as a trainee performer. We will continue to pay expenses and some fees where possible.
STEP 3. Once you have completed more than 30 events and have:
(i) Your own finished public performance act(s) / workshop (s) with your own costume and equipment / props.
(ii) Signed up as an Equity Member with your own personal insurance and CRB check.
(iii) Have your own promotion pack with photographs and publicity.
We will promote you for events and normally offer a minimum fee of £335 per week or £30 per performance hour rates, where possible.
